Have you ever just needed a push? Needed someone to remind you that you were indeed created for something and that you could, in fact, do it? And not eventually but NOW? Sometimes you just need a push, right?
Well, there's good news for you! I am and have always been a pusher. And not that type of pusher-- although..... well, that's a story for another day... once we get to know each other A LOT better. Despite our different definitions, lol, oblige me for the duration of this post and call me-- the Pusha!
Can I make a confession to you? You and only you?
I kind of take pride in making people uncomfortable. I know it sounds a bit strange but let me explain. Take a look at the picture above. The person being pushed looks extremely uncomfortable, right? Likely even afraid. But imagine what's on the other side of that wall he's being pushed towards. Maybe it's an ocean full of hungry sharks. Or maybe, just maybe, it's a field of jasmine and clover. My point is, we will never reach our next level, our highest potential, our field of jasmine and clover, in a place of comfort.
Think about the process of childbirth. There are only certain moments, seconds even, throughout the labor process that actually hold potential for the baby to be born. During those times, and only those times, the nurse or midwife instructions the mother to push. Amidst all of the pain and discomfort women experience during hours of labor, there are just a few cumulative minutes that hold the potential and promise for something beautiful to be born. The moments are numbered.
I'd like to think of myself as your nurse or midwife today. Not to your baby but to your dreams... your potential... your purpose. I'm primed with the knowledge and experience to be able to tell when the promising moment of potential arrives and it's time to push. I am your pusha! And the time is NOW!
Now, is your moment of great potential. Things are aligned and the environment is conducive for your leap to the next level. It might feel uncomfortable, painful and even unbearable, but the time is upon us for something great to be birthed from you, my friend. Great promise, great potential, and great purpose! It's time to push! Are you up for the challenge? Are you ready for the possible pain and the inevitable discomfort?
Over our time together, I will share with you my many moments of discomfort and the beautiful things they gave way to. For now, as your pusha, I leave you with this--
If you are comfortable, I can assure you-- you are not growing.
Maybe you're in a period of rest and don't want to grow. If so, comfort is your place to be. And that's okay. But if you're like me, and are always looking for ways to become better, discomfort will be somewhat of your norm. Embrace it. Love it. Live in it!
Even in your discomfort.... I want to see you THRIVE.
